2. Processing Purposes and Legal Basis

Synapses S.r.l. provides users information about its activities and services in the Indoor Location sector through this website to highlight the development potential of BlueGPS technology.

The site offers users the opportunity to simulate potential scenarios using an explorer tool based on their needs and characteristics, obtaining an initial project cost estimate.

The processing is based on user consent and is revocable at any time.

3. Recipients and Categories of Personal Data

3.1 Project Simulation Through Explorer Tool

Simulation occurs via partner Quuppa, which provides the tool demonstrating indoor positioning benefits. By defining company structure, case studies, and resource numbers, users receive potential outcome estimates.

Processed data, provided directly by users, includes: environment type (industry, logistics, office, etc.), necessity type (inventory management, worker location, etc.), resource and personnel numbers, monitoring area dimensions, and email address for simulation results.

3.1.1 Data Provision Obligation

If the user does not provide data for simulation including contact email, the simulation cannot be processed and final results cannot be obtained.

3.1.2 Automation and Storage

Simulation uses automated computing tools. Simulation data is retained for the duration necessary to complete the simulation.

3.2 Third-Party Sites

The website contains links to third-party managed sites responsible for their own data protection. Users are invited to review applicable third-party privacy notices to understand how they handle collected information.

3.3 Contacts

Users may email a designated address provided by Synapses S.r.l. Processed data, provided directly by users, must relate strictly to business activities or BlueGPS software.

3.3.1 Data Provision Obligation

If the user does not provide useful data for acquiring requested information, this activity cannot be completed and no BlueGPS information is obtainable.

3.3.2 Automation and Storage

Data is processed by personnel assigned to provide user assistance based on their needs. Related data is retained for the duration necessary to respond.

3.4 Marketing

When users interact with the organization through simulation or contact, the organization will contact them with BlueGPS software information. User data is retained for 12 months following the last interaction.

3.5 Website Usage Statistics

The organization does not implement user profiling but monitors website usage through usage statistics (average session duration, average pages visited, etc.).

Two tools are used for this purpose:

• Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies, stores nothing in the browser, and produces anonymous aggregate measurements only. Since it does not identify visitors, it is always active and requires no consent.
• Google Analytics 4, which is activated only after the user accepts analytics cookies. Until consent is given, the Google script is not downloaded and no data reaches Google. Processed data includes a pseudonymous identifier stored in the _ga cookies, pages visited, traffic source, approximate geographic location derived from the IP address, and device and browser type. The legal basis is the user’s consent pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) of Regulation EU 2016/679, which may be withdrawn at any time through the “Cookie preferences” link in the site footer. Data is retained in the Google Analytics property for 14 months.

Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited, acting as data processor under Google’s Data Processing Terms. Advertising features are not used: advertising storage, ad user data, and ad personalization signals are permanently denied through Google Consent Mode, and Google Signals is not enabled. 4. Data Transfer to Third Countries and/or Third-Country Recipients

User data collected through the simulation tool and the contact forms is stored within the European Union, compliant with European data protection legislation.

The only processing that may involve a transfer outside the European Union is the optional web analytics described in section 3.5: where the user has consented to analytics cookies, data collected through Google Analytics may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States. The transfer takes place on the basis of Google LLC’s certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and of the Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission and incorporated into Google’s Data Processing Terms. Users who do not consent to analytics cookies are subject to no transfer outside the European Union.

5. Data Subject Rights

At any time, pursuant to Articles 15–22 of Regulation EU 2016/679, individuals may exercise the right to:

• Request confirmation of whether personal data exists.
• Obtain information about processing purposes, personal data categories, recipients or recipient categories to whom data has been or will be disclosed, and retention period when possible.
• Obtain data rectification and deletion.
• Obtain processing limitation.
• Obtain data portability — receiving data in structured, commonly-used, machine-readable format from one controller and transmitting to another without impediment.
• Object to processing at any time.
• Object to automated decision-making concerning individuals.
• Request data access, rectification, deletion, processing limitation, or opposition from the controller, plus data portability rights.
• Withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior consent-based processing legality.
• Lodge complaints with supervisory authorities.
